Vectorwise is available as a software-only offering, pre-configured and ready to go in the Cloud powered by Rackspace, or as an appliance combining hardware and software as a single solution powered by Lenovo. The software-based version can be installed in any x86_64-based environment using supported versions of 64-bit Windows and Linux, including Cloud-based environments such as Amazon EC2. Please note however that public cloud deployments may not be optimally configured for an analytic workload you typically run against Vectorwise, resulting in sub-optimal data processing performance.
