- When debugging is on the logger will log to C:/ on Windows, /tmp on Linux
- Added firststart plug-in functionality that creates a db connection profile for Ingres on localhost, with the new Ingres version 9 (see DTP) when IDW starts for the first time.
- Preference page used to set the Ingres instance id
- Added a check, when the instance id changes on the preference page, then the default Ingres db connection profile is updated

- IDW application Plug-in
- Created new perspectives: IDW, Ingres EC2 (includes Amazon plug-ins), and ability to open Report Designer plugin.
- Created new 16x16 icons to open perspectives
- Added "Run" menu with option to Run an Ingres Sample Report.
- Ingres Application Examples Plug-in
- Plug-in that allows you to import the Foodmart and Frequent Flyer sample reports. It's a generic plug-in with a defined extension point that example applications or reports can be plugged into and therefore served up from the Ingres Examples Wizard.
- BIRT sample reports
- Foodmart and Frequent Flyer
- After importing a report:
- Open the Report Design perspective
- Open a help page explaining how to set up the data source and how to run the report.
- For the Frequent Flyer sample report, ask the user what their Ingres config is. Upon importing, search and replace the default with their config in the sample report.
- BIRT on Helios requires that you deploy your driver jar file to the following folder. This must be done by the builder or manually.
- eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc_2.6.0.v20100524\drivers

New DTP Content
- Fixed compilation errors from Ingres repository.
- Current driver hard codes driver version 2006. Added versions 9 and 10.
[edit]
Still to do:
- Create SourceForge site, publish new IDW daily/weekly, allow comments, feature requests
- Created project: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ingresdbwrkbnch
- Create an ANT builder for IDW so that it can be built from the repository without Eclipse open.
- Put IDW on the Ingres Vectorwise AMI http://community.ingres.com/wiki/Ingres_VectorWise_Amazon_EC2_Images
I'd welcome any feedback you have on this! Please email me: mailto:jane.thalen@ingres.com
