Help build a large and active developer community that will foster open innovation and continue the Ingres tradition of providing a stable and secure solution for use in mission critical production deployments, while also enabling us to create the next generation database that will meet the ever evolving needs of business, government and academia.
- Participate in partner communities around Alfresco, JasperSoft, Eclipse, Fedora, PHP, Python, .NET, Java, etc. in order to help those communities become more familiar with Ingres.
- Participate in Ingres technical blogs/ Ingres VIP presentations. Help others to understand how to use Ingres technologies and give them a preview of new offerings and services.
- Participate in Ingres Code Sprints. Latest on Upcoming Sprints.
- Organize a community event in partnership with FOSSLC
- Participate in Ingres User Groups. This could involve creating a new group in your region, getting presenters for group meetings, etc.
- Create a page for your Ingres User Groups here or create a pointer to your user Ingres.
- Immerse yourself in the Ingres community. This would involve downloading / testing beta and community products, providing feedback, contributing test cases, code contributions, wiki content, etc. We have also made our project list visible directly from the Ingres corporate website, under Community/Projects.
- Participate in the development of Ingres collateral. This could be writing a blog, white papers for Ingres, writing an article for a magazine, Ingres knowledge base entries, Ingres documentation, etc.
- Speaking at birds-of-a-feather or tutorial sessions at various open source venues – LinuxWorld, OSCon, JavaOne, EclipseCon, User Group Meetings such as PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, .NET, etc.
- Testing the download experience and providing feedback in order to improve community and new trial user experience.
