Planning and early development are ongoing for the release targeted after OpenROAD 6.0. One of our large OpenROAD partners approached us with a requirement to enhance their application to meet stringent new corporate standards in a manner that was not possible with the current OpenROAD release. An OpenROAD 5.1 Service Pack (5.1.1) is in the works that includes bug fixes and new operating system support for some of the UNIX/Linux platforms. The Service Pack will be available for Microsoft Windows in Q2; it will be available for other platforms later.

OpenROAD 6.0, targeted for Windows, is now GA. OpenROAD 6.0 provides transparent Unicode support, enabling applications to handle single-byte, multi-byte, and UTF-8 data with little or no changes to existing code.
