I am doing a bi-directional replication.

I created a vnode to connect to another machine on my local machine. I propgated the path to the other machine. Everything is fine till here.

Under CDDS definition's Database information for CDDS, I am having the follwoing information :

DBno vnode/database name type server
------ -------------------------- ----------- ---------
1 rajk::repdb (Local machine) Full Peer 1
3 test::testt ( Virtual node) Full Peer 2

Now I have propagated all the information to another machine i.e.,test::testt.

After this I started server 1 and it started and replication is done from my local machine to the another machine(test::testt).

Now I want the same replication from the remote machine to my local machine. I tried to start the server 2. I was asked to make some changes and finally I am getting an error

"Error from the RMCMD server on vnode1 :
*Only the INGRES user can start remotely a replicator server if the local DB is on a different node ".

I am doing this on Windows XP. When creating a node, I am using the System password(OS).

How to start the remote server as a Ingres user in windows??

I did as suggested by you in the previous post. Its not working for me.

Please guide me.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

    You are more likely to get a response if you post in the appropriate place - i.e. the forum rather than the blogs section of the website:
